Becoming a Member – Nittany Valley Figure Skating Club

The Nittany Valley Figure Skating Club offers various membership options to meet the needs of our skaters:

First Family Skater

Under 18: Skating members who are under age 18; entitled to all privileges of the Club, except that their voting rights will be represented by a parent or legal guardian who will be eligible to vote in their place.
Over 18: Skating or non-skating members who are 18 or older. They are entitled to all privileges of the Club, including all rights to vote.
Membership Fee: $125 first family skater/non-skater (includes USFS fee and NVFSC fee)

First Family Volunteer/Board Member

For non-skating members who volunteer or are on the NVFSC board
Membership Fee: $90 first family volunteer/board member (includes USFS fee and NVFSC fee)

Introductory Skater

If you have never been a member of US Figure Skating, you may select the ‘Introductory’ category for one year.
Membership Fee: $90 introductory skater (includes USFS fee and NVFSC fee)

Subsequent (Additional) Introductory Skater

If you have never been a member of US Figure Skating, you may select the ‘Introductory’ category for one year.
Must have an additional family member who is registering under introductory skater for that year.
Membership Fee: $85 introductory skater (includes USFS fee and NVFSC fee)

Subsequent (Additional) Family Skater

For additional family members of a first family or introductory skater.
Membership fee: $85 subsequent (additional) family skater/non-skater (includes USFS fee and NVFSC fee)

Subsequent (Additional) Family Volunteer/Board Member

For additional family members of a first family or introductory skater who will not be skating on the ice.
Membership fee: $50 subsequent (additional) family volunteer/board member (includes USFS fee and NVFSC fee)

Collegiate

College students (undergraduate or graduate) can become collegiate members anytime during their college years. This option is available once for up to four consecutive years and includes the same privileges as a First Family/Individual member.
Membership Fee: $170 for four years (includes USFS fee and NVFSC fee)

Junior Associate Skating Members

Current Aspire USFS members. They can participate in Club Ice and other non-skating club activities but do not have voting privileges and are not eligible to hold office.
Membership Fee: $20 (includes NVFSC fee only)

Associate Skating Members

Current USFS members who hold membership in another club as their home club. They can participate in Club Ice and other non-skating club activities but do not have voting privileges and are not eligible to hold office.
Membership Fee: $40 (includes NVFSC fee only)
