About the Scholarship

Abby Yeagley was a student at Radio Park Elementary School. She began figure skating at the age of six and loved participating in ice shows, camps, and competitions.  In addition to skating, Abby enjoyed skiing, playing her clarinet, and cuddling with her kitty. Abby was a joyous, spirited, and compassionate child who was dedicated to fair play in all areas of her life. Abby’s mother Dena Yeagley had been a figure skating coach for Marilynne W. Stout, who created this fund in Abby’s memory and in honor of her longtime coach. This fund will assist with the expenses associated with the development of young figure skaters by providing for equipment, instructions, and competition expenses.

The AYMF is privately funded and administered by an independent committee. The committee is honoring the original private endowment goal of being youth oriented.
